Eymoutiers, located on the banks of the River Vienne, is an attractive upland town of tall, stone houses crowding round a much-altered eleventh century Romanesque church. It is the county town of the district at 417metres high and one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Limousin. There is a farmers market every Saturday morning and a larger market every first and third Thursday in the month. It has a good selection of shops, restaurants and excellent supermarket. Area free of congestion. For more information on Eymoutiers:
